Mexican embroidery style known as “Tenangos”, uses vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs.The designs are based on the native flora and fauna of the Otomi in Puebla, Mexico, with animals and flowers representing daily events in the culture. Other common motifs include abstract geometric patterns and images of animals and plants. The designs are often arranged in a mostly symmetric form, and may symbolize the harmony between humans and the natural world.
