Who We Are

Our MissioN

To bring educational equity to Hispanic  children and parents by offering Spanish language STEAM curricula and workshops that embrace their heritage and identity, and make high level content available in culturally appropriate ways.

What We Offer

As an educator with 14 years of teaching experience, five in a major city in Mexico (Tamaulipas, Tampico), eight in Salem, Oregon, and more than one year as a program coordinator and consultant, I bring the experience of having worked in two distinct cultures and educational systems. I hold a master’s degree from Mexico in the area of teaching innovation. This background allows me to work comfortably and creatively in technology, which I have been able to successfully teach to both students and their parents. In addition, I have substantial experience in STEM education, in curriculum development, video creation and teaching. Since this is an area of national interest, it has become the focus of my work. My goal is to offer these services nationally.

I am currently  involved in organizing, directing, and presenting six major STEM workshops on the northern Oregon coast.. These projects were chosen specifically to address the goals from the Federal STEM Initiative.

I have extensive experience in developing and presenting workshops for parents and children in the areas of family math, family literacy, and hands-on STEM  projects throughout the state of Oregon.

Our Core Values

As a Mexican national living in the United States, my focus is on equity and inclusion. For too long, underserved minorities have not had full access to education, particularly in the areas of STEM. I have specifically designed a curriculum that is culturally sensitive and available in Spanish to serve my community.
